Office Policy
Appointments
We will make every effort to see all patients as close to their scheduled appointment time as possible; however, there are times when emergencies must be worked into the day and delays may occur. We respect your time and if we see a delay may be extreme, our office may call and ask you to reschedule as promptly as possible. If you cannot make your appointment time, please alert our offices as soon as possible so that we can contact other waiting patients.
Telephone Calls
Please feel free to contact our office as questions arise concerning your medical condition, medication, cast or treatment. Our nurses and surgeon's assistants will handle medical problems and questions. If your problem is complex, it will be discussed with your surgeon, and your concerns and questions will be answered.

If the emergency occurs during regular office hours, please call the office immediately for instructions.
Fees
Insurance claims are filed for all services rendered. Patients are requested to be familiar with their respective insurance plans and associated patient responsibilities (co-payments, deductible, authorizations, etc.). We are here to assist the patient in understanding his or her insurance coverage. Fees are ultimately the responsibility of the patient, and are in accord with medical fees throughout the Birmingham area.
Each patient will receive a monthly statement itemizing all charges, payments and related transactions. All questions concerning your statement should be directed to our Business Office. In order to make your statements as accurate as possible, please advise us of any changes in name, address or insurance coverage.
